Welcome to Peluso Family Farms, proudly operated by a teenager who's managed to swap TikTok trends for tractors and Snapchat streaks for actual farm chores. Here you'll find the tastiest chicken and pork in North Carolina—mostly because our animals are raised with love, sarcasm, and occasional eye-rolls. If you've ever doubted that a teen could handle livestock better than Wi-Fi outages, prepare to be deliciously surprised.

Meet the Farmers

Get to know the hardworking individuals behind Peluso Family Farms. While Matthew does most of the building, managing and operating the farm, the others play a crucial role in our operations.

Matthew Peluso

Owner

First generation owner operator at the farm, he is also currently enrolled in agribusiness at the University of Mount Olive.

Jamisyn

(Matthews Girlfriend)

Farrowing/Piglet Specialist

Primary role is in helping with planning, breeding, farrowing and operations of piglets and sows. She also helps in processing and maintenance.

Benjamin

(Younger Brother)

Produce and Feeding

Primarily responsible for feed up and maintenance while Matthew is gone during the week at school. He also grows vegetables

Joseph

(Younger Brother)

Egg Collector

Primarily responsible for the laying hens and feed up help, he also helps catching birds during processing.

Elizabeth

(Younger Sister)

Soap Maker

Primary role is making our small batch lard soaps and other soap/lotion products.

Connor

(Longtime Friend)

General Help/Processing

Primarily helps with big processing days, fencing projects or general labor during a big project. He is also our backup help if Matthew is away from the farm.

Aedan

(Longtime Friend)

General Help/Processing

Primarily helps with big processing days, fencing projects or general labor during a big project. He is also our backup help if Matthew is away from the farm.

Chase

(Church Friend)

Feed-up and Processing

Primarily helps with Feeding chickens and turkeys at our pasture space which is located at his house, while Matthew is at College
